In the 2nd half of the year 2024, Patek Philippe Announced the launch of it’s new collection called the “cubitus”. Patek Philippe Released their first original collection after 25 years. The luxury watch community has had a collective meltdown. On the continuum from great to terrible the initial reactions of majority of them leaned towards the terrible end of the scale.

His fear was justified that they would be too dependent on the steel Nautilus and as a consequence, they in 2021 discontinued the Nautilus too, since then more and more steel Nautiluses have disappeared from the catalogue or at least have been produced at much lower numbers, give it time and we would also see the end of the Aquanaut in steel at some point as well. Stern was quoted in the interview during the Cubitus release for saying that the current production of aquanaut & Nautilus would now be spread across the Cubitus, Aquanaut & Nautilus so few of all three models if you count them independently the second thing has been quoted as saying on occasion is that he wants to have an accessible option for new clients. $40,000 is now the accessible option for new clients when you’re done at the supermarket considering whether you should buy single ply toilet paper or splurging on jewel ply just remember somebody out there thinks that $40,000 is accessible in trying to convince younger people to buy their watches. Stern, again is quoted saying that with other lines and also with the cubitus, this is another try to hit a new younger target demographic. During the release of the cubitus stern was questioned about the meltdown the public has had and the CEO Replied by saying. ” The Haters are mostly People who have never had a Patek Philippe and never will. So That Doesn’t bother Me.”

Sometimes you have to pay attention to what isn’t being said 6002G costs $42000.
